What a glorious, quiet four days of doing whatever I wanted. I fit in reading books, lunch with a friend, laundry, shopping, watching movies, eating treats, bikeriding, dinner with D.J., a couple of yummy home-cooked dinners with LeAnn, visiting, sewing, crafting and listening to the music and talks that I like. It was heavenly. Remind me again why Heavenly Father wants us to live as families:)
Truly, I did miss everyone and all the smiles and talking but every now and again, I appreciate the quietness of being alone.
I met Dave in Salt Lake today at the Gateway Mall to exchange vehicles and pick up the kiddos. They all looked like they needed a mother when they got there. No one had combed hair, Maci was in winter clothes(it was 90 degrees out), had her furry boots on, Olivia's hair was atrocious, she had on highwater pants and tennis shoes with socks and Jace had on a dirty shirt that had food on it. Maybe I'm a little bit overboard, but they need me and my militant ways around:) We let them play in the water jets that come out of the ground for about a half hour before we all headed our separate ways. Dave leaves for Washington State for a month for training for his new job. He was hired by Dex and will be working in Murray (about 45 minutes away) after the training. I feel very grateful that he has found employment, it gives me a sense of security. The Salcido family is coming up to Logan on Friday to see Jace in Oliver. Shenelle and Spencer Williams, Jerry, Yvonne, Chelsea and Eric, Andraya and Larissa and maybe some others. Dave will be coming up then to be here when his family is here and then will fly to Washington on Sunday. After everyone goes home, I think we are going to go camping since our next performance will be 5 days later.
