I had a wedding to do this weekend in Utah county so Dave and I traded places. The kids had a full day on Friday with several different practices for each of them so Dave was a busy driver all day and night long. He entertained the little girls by taking them to the festival at the Tabernacle and walking around looking at all the booths, eating cotton candy and then making dinner and waiting around for Jace and Sierra to finish. Then he drove home and got here about midnight. I ironed wedding linens all day in a quiet house and watched Extreme Home Makeover while I ironing. I needed Chad to lift the 80 pound buckets we use for backdrops. They are a beast to get in and out of the truck so he came and helped for a couple of hours.
I was busy on Saturday most of the day setting up the wedding and the kids all got to play with their friends that they have missed since being in Logan. Jace went to Seven Peaks with the Lanes, Sierra hung out with Charlynn, Olivia played with Everett and Kendra and then went to Kendra's brother's game, and Maci played with Ellery. What a fun day they all had. It took me 16 hours to set up the wedding and with Dave's help, one hour to take it all down. How is that possible? I still have lots of laundry to do from the wedding but I have a washer right here. We don't have practice til Monday afternoon so we won't be leaving til Monday morning around ten. Got the clothes from Logan done in my own washer and dryer and it took three whole hours:( but it didn't cost anything:) There are a few things I miss about my home, and doing the laundry whenever I need to is one of those things.
MOM! Busy weekend! You need to be charging more for weddings if its taking you that long and that much effort! Goodness... you are worth more money than what you charge :) glad you got so much done though in such a short amount of time! miss you lots. love you.
