Trading Spaces

I think I will let Jace and Sierra take turns posting something on the blog occasionally because you get their perspective. I definitely wouldn't have named all of those games Jace did yesterday and it will be a more accurate account of what was important to them that day. Today we worked on Olivia's raggedy ann and she helped stuff the body and cut out the dress. We didn't have time to finish it because we were busy in the afternoon with errands but she stitched the face on and it turned out pretty darn cute. Jace had practice this morning for a couple of hours and that was it for the day. The kids got grouchy in the afternoon so I sent them all to bed to take a nap. We didn't get to bed til late last night so they all probably needed a nap. I know I did! After an hour, everyone woke up in a much better mood and were much more pleasant to be around.  I am doing a wedding in Utah county this weekend so Dave drove up to Logan to be with the kids while I drove home to a quiet, empty house. Tomorrow the kids have back to back practices all day long and into the evening  so Dave will be a busy chauffer. We had to write a bio on Jace today for the programs and here is what we came up with: (he helped me write it)
Jace Salcido is 11 years old, entering 6th grade and the ninth of eleven children. Currently he lives in the midst of 5 sisters and looks forward to his man dates with his dad.  He has received musical training and sung with the Utah Valley Children's Choir since he was 3. He enjoys jazz music and the fun music of Sandra Boynton. His favorite song to sing is "Pots and Pans". He enjoys hiking, scootering at the skate park, building with legos and riding his bike to practice with the Utah Festival Opera. He is anti-vegetable which may explain his current size.
The kids seem to be enjoying their time in Logan and all the fun they get to have. We really do play a lot since there isn't a lot of work around the house to do. Jace has helped in the apartment yard on occasion but other than that, we're just exploring Cache County.
