just dance!

Today Jace and Sierra had a run through for the whole South Pacific show and from the news I got from the neighbors, they both did a great job. It was a 3 hour practice and they were both pretty tired:) We all got busy with the bendaroos and created a little beach scene on the wall for South Pacific and a treasure chest full of jewels and Fagin to represent Oliver. It was very fun and the kids all got way creative.
While the older kids were at practice, Maci and Olivia had countless Easter egg hunts. They don't seem to get tired of doing that. They also helped clean up the apartment and then Olivia cut out a raggedy ann from a pattern we found online. She stuffed the arms and legs and we are going to learn how to make clothes and do an embroidered mouth tomorrow. She is such a crafty girl.
Jace went to his friend's house, Cameron Conrad, who plays "the Artful Dodger" in Oliver. They rehearsed lines and then just goofed around and watched a movie too. They watched King Arthur and apparently have a device called "clear play" that cuts out language, sex and violence. Jace said that everytime a guy would lift his sword to kill someone, the movie would skip to another scene. He was quite annoyed with it but it sounds like something I need to get:)
We bought the wii game called "just dance" with some money that Grandma Doris generously donated to our fun summer and the girls have been dancing for over an hour. Sierra went to bed early because she was so tired:) I think I'm going to like this game and I might even get in a little exercise myself. Right now, I don't look so cool trying to copy those dance moves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-oSv-6O91o
Check out that link for a video of Jace, Olivia, and Maci getting their groove on:)

I forgot to post pictures of a cute jacket that I made on Saturday for Olivia. She needed something to wear over a dress that Sierra finally handed down to her. It was a teal one from Camilla's wedding and Olivia has asked for it for a long time but Sierra wasn't quite ready to give it up. We used a black turtleneck that Olivia never wore because she doesn't like that feeling around her neck and turned it into a little jacket. I got the idea from U-createcrafts.com. I love that site!
Well, another fun day in Logan. Loving life and all the friends we're making. What a great summer experience!
